"How to install wxPython" wiki page out of date?

jamesw
Hi,

I found a broken wxPython install command in one of my continuous integration builds (on Ubuntu 14), so I Googled "install wxPython" to see if I could find a more up-to-date command.

This wiki page was returned by my search:

But it seems a bit out of date.

The advice for installing wxPython-Phoenix on Linux was:

sudo pip install --upgrade --pre -f https://wxpython.org/Phoenix/snapshot-builds/ wxPython
but on Ubuntu 14, I ended up using:

pip install -f https://extras.wxpython.org/wxPython4/extras/linux/gtk2/ubuntu-14.04/ --only-binary wxPython wxPython

The fact that you can now install binary wheels on Linux is really cool, so it would be great to see that advertised on the Wiki page!

Not sure who has access to the Wiki and whether updating it is already on their To Do list - if so, sorry for the noise.

Cheers,
James

Anybody can work on the wiki, you just need to ask to be added to the TrustedEditorsGroup.
